Become aware of wifi

A key principle of a truehealing lifestyle is increasing your awareness.

Everyone knows that you can’t eat a steady diet of practically poisonous junk food and expect to stay healthy because through awareness - through trial and error of a lifetime - by way of parents, doctors, nutritionists and media, we have figured this out. Now it is time to use our awareness to learn about the effect that a big diet of technology, that pervades our homes, offices, schools and most public environments, has on our bodies. This type of diet, like steady junk food eating, poisons our bodies.

Our laptops, phones, and gadgets connected to wifi routers and each with it’s own wifi radio fill our minds with information that makes us feel smart, that entertains us, and that does in fact inform and educate us. Technology gives us tools for getting our work done and for connecting with the people in our lives. With it comes both disadvantages and advantages. I am not advocating abstinence but the dose makes the poison - I am advocating control: exercising caution and setting use limits, overall moving in the direction of reducing use, one step at a time.

While so much information from technology - via our bi-directional microwave devices- is useful in many ways our exposure to the technology tools simultaneously slowly damages our bodies and degrades our thinking capacities. One way they impact our thinking is by limiting dopamine in the brain or downregulating dopamine. Dopamine allows you to pay attention. Without it we move restlessly from one sound bite to the next unable to focus our attention and think deeply. It is as if we are on an evolutionary journey backwards toward our ape relatives as we lose our thinking abilities. And more than ever we need to think! Without the ability to think clearly in a rapidly changing global crisis, like what we are facing now, we are dead in the water.

Protect your health, your body, your brain and your thinking capacities. Build new habits that bring care to these areas and that evolve your consciousness. Let go of addictive technology use habits that de-evolutionize your brain, damage your body, and are in effect bit by bit taking you out.

What to do? Where to start?

  1. Shut the wifi function off on your router. Use ethernet cable for your computer, printer, t.v. and cell phone internet connections at home.

  2. If you are not willing or able or ready to do that, then simply shut your wifi router off at night as well as your cell phone, your computers and your printers. Turn it all back on when it is time to use it again. This way you protect your body and especially your nervous system during key regenerative sleeping hours at a minimum.

  3. Cut back on screen time. Go on a technology diet.

  4. Replace screen time with time outside in the sun.
